The One Movie Film Festival is an exciting, rolling event brought to you by TAPE, supported by the North Wales LD Transformation Project and Film Hub Wales.
Each ‘Day’ of the festival will take place over a long weekend, where people can access the main feature along with a host of bespoke content linked to the themes and ideas within that film.
The festival has been co-produced by people accessing TAPE’s Media Club project. Follow TAPE on social media to stay up to date with the festival and to take part in the live Q&A sessions.
Heavy Load
Main Feature
Directed by Jerry Rothwell. A year in the life of punk band, Heavy Load, whose members include some musicians with learning disabilities.
Interview with Paul and Jerry
This is an interview with documentary filmmaker, Jerry Rothwell and Paul Richards, director of the Stay Up Late campaign. They discuss the making of their film, Heavy Load and how it inspired the Stay up Late campaign.
Gig Buddies (partner)
Gig Buddies are our partner for day#4 of the One Movie Film Festival. They are an organisation which aims to match people with shared interests to have a good time.
Ghostbuskers at the Proms
Ghostbuskers at the Proms A short film showing the community music project, Ghostbuskers, performing at the BBC Proms in the Park in Colwyn Bay.
Ghostbuskers: Road to Eden
A nicely made short film about a trip to the Eden Project in Cornwall, where Ghostbuskers played three shows as part of a community arts festival.
Friendship Film
A short film about circles of friendship and support.
Films are available for a limited weekend period, hosted on the TAPE Vimeo page. Interview content will remain accessible forever on the TAPE website with links to where films can be further accessed, if possible.
