Supporting Shorts is a cinema-focussed filmmaking project, which creates opportunities for people currently underrepresented across the screen industries. This ground-breaking initiative has been co-created by people for whom public-facing, creative opportunities continue to be more difficult to access due to exclusionary practice and a reluctance to work differently in support of creative inclusion.
Behind the Scenes of Race to the Start Line
TAPE has worked to develop this project, which will see inclusively-made short films screen ahead of feature films, across Vue and Odeon cinemas around the UK, 2 to 3 times a year.
This invaluable outlet will bring dynamic new work and voices to the big screen, create meaningful opportunities for both industry professionals and Supporting Shorts participants, and raise awareness of how working differently can create significant and lasting change.
